That is just wrong!

I am sorry but this is just so wrong, on so many levels…

Dunkin Donuts Breakfast Donut

It would appear (and I know they are not alone, nor are they the first) to put a savoury food within a glazed donut. Yes that’s bacon and eggs in a sweet donut complete with icing.

What is that all about then?

Cooking Fajita

I do like Mexican and Tex-Mex food, don’t know how authentic my versions are, partly as all I have to compare is with various restaurants I have been to and in the main as I have not been to Mexico!

However the other day I did cook some steak fajita.

I use a hot griddle and get it nice and hot, I don’t oil the pan, I oil the meat.

With the steak, I cut into slices and then mix with some oil and some Cajun spices.

The steak is then placed and cooked on the hot griddle.

After a few minutes I add the onion and pepper (though this time I had no pepper).

Once the steak and onion (and pepper) is cooked, serve.

Fajita

I serve with warm flour tortillas, hot salsa, sour cream and guacamole.

Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce

Many, many years ago I use to go out and eat at TGI Fridays, one thing they use to do with their steaks (and prawns and chicken wings) was either cook them in a Jack Daniels sauce or serve it on the side.

I remember trying to find that sauce at local supermarkets and other suppliers without success. I even (when I got the internet) trying to find an online supplier and again no success.

Eventually TGI Fridays stopped serving the sauce and it became one of those food memories, something you had once, and would never see again (like the Wispa).

So you can imagine my surprise when in my local Morrisons I found this.

Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce

Alas though it was nice it was not as nice as I remembered it, maybe it’s different, maybe it’s just time.
